Hello, and thank you for visiting my website!
My name is Nancy, and I am a certified personal trainer, certified barre class instructor, and certified health coach. A few years ago I attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), where we believe in a holistic approach to health and treating the “whole” person. Bio-individuality is the term we use, which is about creating a health plan based on Primary and Secondary Food. Primary Food is what is going on in our lives: relationships, career, spirituality, and everything that may affect our habits, our mental health, sleep patterns, hormones, and also physical limitations or illnesses. Secondary Food is what we eat. Primary Food affects Secondary Food, so each individual is different, and what works for one person may not work for another person, hence, bio-individuality. I carry this belief into my practice as a fitness trainer and a health coach - bio-individuality—what works for one person may not work for someone else. Visit my blog where I will explain more and provide more detail regarding Bio Individuality, as well as primary and secondary foods.
As a fitness trainer, I believe in cross-training - strength training, cardio, core strengthening and working on balance and flexibility, as well as breathing and calming our nervous system. These are all integral aspects of getting and staying strong. My niche is Barre, which is low-impact, where I combine strength, core and flexibility,
I believe in a 80/20 plan, both from a physical standpoint and how we nourish our bodies. We should try to be good 80 percent of the time with our mindset regarding how we “feed” our bodies. No one can or should be perfect, but I believe the benefits of being “good” most of the time will help us live longer and healthier. I will provide both fitness and health tips, including videos. Thanks again for stopping by!
